Dedicated to the Guggenheim Museum in the district of Dorsoduro, it is crafted from briccola wood (the poles we see immersed in the lagoon) and is a small kaleidoscope, unique among the others for fitting in one’s hand or pocket.
This item is part of the Companion Objects project, featuring 4 Sounds and 3 Visions dedicated to Venice’s six districts and the island of Giudecca.
Inside are Murano glass murrine, beautiful, precious artifacts of an art facing extinction.

The name refers to the Guggenheim Museum address, whose wrought iron entrance gate holds pieces of Murano glass that reflect and multiply sunlight.
Dedicated to the Guggenheim Museum in the district of Dorsoduro, it is one of the seven companions dedicated to Venice’s six districts + Giudecca island.
