After completing his studies in 1974, he began working in the family business. Since his arrival the company has been guided by his natural feel for contemporary aesthetics. So much so that in the following years the family shop became a benchmark for design furniture, first regionally and then nationally. In 1989 he met the entrepreneurs Luciano Marson and Paolo Chiarot with whom he founded Horm, of which he is both the artistic director as well as the designer of numerous products in the company\u2019s collection. In subsequent years, his activities as a designer alternated with the management of the family business until 1995 when, almost as a game with an entrepreneurial friend, he started making furniture with an ethnic touch. And, what began as an adventure turned into a project, which is still a source of great satisfaction today. Meanwhile, Carlo Cumini made his entry into the world of lighting design, working with companies like Luc\u2019\u00e8, whose products are today considered classics of minimalist design. Since the mid-90s he has actively dedicated himself to the growth of the family business, opening one of Italy\u2019s first concept stores in the historic centre of his city. In 2000, his continuous search for new brands, in addition to the best known brands of European design, and his experience as a designer and interior designer, led to a commission to design all the furnishings for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
