The swing, a timeless game that never gets old, like wood, which for this project takes on the iconic shape of the life preservers found on the boats of Venice which, rigged up to a high point, can be installed in many contexts, both indoors and outdoors.
In wandering around with the purpose of discovering Venice and its jewels, we stumbled upon the painting L’altalena dei Pulcinella (Pulcinella’s Swing) by Giandomenico Tiepolo in which the commedia dell’artecharacter Pulcinella appears in 4 images, wearing the typical masks and swinging happily through the air.
So, we named the swing after the address of the CÃ Rezzonico Museum that houses these curious Neapolitan masks which are guests in Venice, and are distinguished from other masks, not mentioning its marvelous Carnival.
