San Marco 2809 is a little rainstick, consisting of a small wooden tube made of Pier Oak, studded with countless brass head fasteners, inside there is a type of miniature pasta known as “tempestina” (little tempest). When you tip it over, the tiny object produces the sound of a gentle rain. It bears the name of the address of the headquarters of Benedetto Marcello Conservatory. Anyone approaching the entrance can hear the music being played by the students; if you walk in the door you’ll discover the marvels of a sumptuous palace, internal courtyards, and music everywhere.
