Luciano Marson told us about this product: “Today I qualify as one of the ‘Young at Heart’. Several decades ago when I was just ‘young’, we didn’t attend special Summer workshops or even language courses; we went to a Summer camp at the seaside or in the mountains; that was it!
All of this is to say that when I was at Summer camp at the beginning of the sixties, once I’d eaten my ice cream (that was called Pinguino), whatever flavor it was, I would use the stick to make a propeller. In addition to the stick, I would get a piece of wire from the fence, I needed it both for poking a hole in the wood and as a support for the propeller.

To give my wood propeller a perfect shape, I would dig out two small balls of tar from the joints in the sidewalk, in order to complete my creation: one of them blocked the front and the other the back of the central pin.
Even today I’m fascinated by this simple object and I wanted to propose one made with a great deal of love for wood, industrial design, recycling, technology, and for Venice”. We recommend giving it a go in one of the airiest and often windy places in Venice, the far end of Punta Dogana. You’ll get there from Dorsoduro 2.
