She studied Arts and Industrial Design at the ISIA (Institute for Industrial Arts) in Rome. In her work she loves to use natural materials and combine traditional artisan techniques and more innovative ones with design. She is a furniture and accessories designer and as well as an interior designer. She partners with companies in the furniture industry. She produces her own small collection.
Together with Christof Burtscher she founded the Burtscher&Bertolini studio, active until 2001.Her work has been exhibited in a number of galleries as well as cultural events and trade show exhibitions and has been recognised with some prizes and various selections obtained in national and international design competitions, among which are:
An Honourable Mention in the 2016 Compasso d’Oro awards for her ‘Autoreggente’ table produced by Horm;
An Honourable Mention in the 2001 Compasso d’Oro awards for her ‘Sottiletto’ bed produced by Horm;
The Good Design Award 2015, AAA prize designercercasi x EXPO 2015;
The first Morelato awards 2012, 2nd prize in “Progettare e realizzare per tutti” (designing and building for everyone);
First prize in two consecutive editions of the “Young & Design” competition.
In parallel with her professional activities, she is dedicated to teaching design, currently at Rome’s ISIA (Institute for Industrial Arts).
