Lorenzo Palmeri is an architect who deals with designing projects. He is active in the fields of design, architecture, art direction, and teaching, as well as music composition and production. Among his teachers are Bruno Munari and Isao Hosoe with whom he collaborated for several years.
He has designed many things: houses, guitars, lamps, tables…, chocolates.
In his function as an art director he has supervised various projects, including: Invicta, 2007; DesignRe; Lefel (design project for Feltrinelli publishing) 2009-2010; Arthemagroup, 2010; Stone Italiana since 2012.
His principal clients include: Fumagalli components, Valenti Luce, Arthemagroup, Korg, Noah guitar, Garofoli, Andreoli, Guzzini, Invicta, Upgroup, Caffè River, De Vecchi, Nissan, Feltrinelli, Napapijri, Pandora Design, Lavazza, Corvasce, Danese, Ernst Knam, Jannelli&Volpi, Caimi Brevetti, DeVorm, Stone Italiana, Dornbracht, and ECO-oh!.
He has been teaching since 1997 at renowned international and Italian design schools.
In the field of music he has written soundtracks for theatrical productions and installations. In 2009 he released the album “preparativi per la pioggia” (get ready for the rain), with prestigious guest artists like Saturnino on bass and Franco Battiato. He released his second album, “erbamatta” at the end of 2014.
Palmeri has participated in numerous collective and solo exhibitions and his designs have been selected and have won important national and international awards.In 2017 he was named as one of the “Ambassadors of Italian Design” as part of Italian Design Day.
