Green Heroes: sustainability and synergies
Italy embracing green innovation is witnessed in part by #GreenHeroes, “sustainability heroes” narrated by Alessandro Gassmann in the homonymous project hosted by Venerdì di Repubblica, in which the actor writes about innovative companies that do business by looking at social, economic and environmental sustainability.
It all began way back in 2018, when the great actor and director Alessandro Gassmann, close to environmental and sustainable movements, married the proposal of mechanical engineer Annalisa Corrado, a restless ecologist and author, to put his media power at the service of virtuous but invisible environmental and sustainable projects.
Endorsed by the Kyoto Club of which Annalisa is a member, Alessandro is committed to giving visibility to these small and large realities that fully embrace the circular economy and, in addition to writing the weekly articles, in February 2022 he published the book “Io e i Green Heroes. Perché ho deciso di pensare verde” the proceeds of which he donates totally to plant fruit trees that benefit realities a where disadvantaged people are found.
Among this group of “sustainability heroes” there is Pieces of Venice.
Thanks to Gassmann’s article of October 2021, we had the honor to be among the first one hundred #GreenHeroes of Italy, narrated in the second part of the well-known actor’s book after he tells his personal story, his relationship with the environment and the beginning of his commitment to it.
We met him in Pistoia last January twenty-sixth at the gathering organized by Annalisa Corrado in the Giorgio Tesi Group nursery, #GreenHero in turn.
In the morning Annalisa and Alessandro were planting fruit trees donated by Giorgio Tesi Group in a Pistoia school, together with the many children. This to stimulate, from an early age, the understanding of how important it is to take care of the greenery and the attention and respect for the environment, while upgrading the building from an environmental point of view.
Alessandro Gassmann is for us an important “megaphone” of the green message that the #GreenHeroes, led by Annalisa Corrado, launch.
This means that we are already more than 160 realities at the moment. We have the same values in the DNA and have the opportunity to meet and enter into synergy, reinforcing the message of the importance of giving birth to regenerative economies to as many people as possible.
Some of us have already teamed up, proposing sustainable and innovative solutions through mutual collaboration: we have done so with Alisea, Ricehouse and Diasen.
In short, it is about telling and supporting a different Italy, one that does not sit idly by as the media often define it, but is moving in an increasingly green direction.
