Alberto Toso Fei
Venetian since 1351, he is descended from an ancient family of glassmakers in Murano. A writer, essayist and journalist, he has written a series of titles between history and myth, chronicle and legend – translated into several languages and sold in thousands of copies – that have created a new way of narrating Venice and its lagoon.
His books are like journeys in time and in the stratification of history: from the recovery of oral tradition – with the collection of ancient stories told by the elderly that risked being lost – to the mapping of over 6000 graffiti engraved in stones, to which Toso Fei has given back a narrative. Titles that have also become treasure hunts, theatre performances, works of art and applications.
Like a living time machine, with his storytelling, he gives life to recitals, TEDx, online events.
