The architectural firm, founded by Giulio, Paolo and Michela Baldessari, is a professional association active in the fields of architecture, industrial, visual and interior design
The studio has several internal working groups and collaborates with a large network of outside consultants. It curates exhibitions in Italy and abroad as well as developing research activities and engaging in competitions and exhibitions.
Baldessari e Baldessari has public and private design projects underway in the sectors of residential housing, office buildings and industrial facilities, and is working on the restoration of historic and period buildings. It also works on interior design projects as well as in collaboration with design companies like Riva 1920, Pallucco, Adele c, cc-tapis, De Castelli, Atipico, Twils, Starpool, Luce di Carrara,Egizia, and Lagoon.
The studio received awards and mentions in the 1984 competition “Una sedia italiana per gli USA” (An Italian chair for the USA), in 1991 with the “Premio Alcan per l’uso dell’alluminio nell’ambiente costruito” (Alcan prize for the use of aluminium in the constructed environment), and in the international Trau competition for the design of a workstation.
In 2007 it won the first prize in “Concorso di nuove sperimentazioni di arredo esterno” (Competition for new experiments in outdoor furniture) Sun Rimini 2007.And, in 2013 it won the Pida Award – hotel concepts section – in addition to the 2014 Pida award “Pida Friends”.
In 2015 it won first prize at “One more pack” – creative packaging design – and the prize “L’Italia che comunica con il packaging” (Italy communicates with packaging).
